Will it be good to add Arduino?

Arduino can if be useful if projects are related to IoT based stuff..to an extinct.. don't "focus" on the point IoT.. just an application.

I personally made a project of gesture control..the topic was "How to control your pc by hand gestures" in which python was used along with arduino.

It can also be used in others fields too like

Arduino boards are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online.

So it would be interesting if you want to learn new things and implement it as a circuitry along with coding.

Yes but perhaps they may need extra work to build a simulator?

Arduino is use for making projects which include combination of robotic and coding.

If your project is related with robotics and coding then it is useful.

If you don't want to do coding or if you only want to make electronically circuit then it is not required.

If you only want to do programming then also arduino is not required.
