There is no perfect protection, for so long many had invented so called almighty obfuscation tool and yet the almighty gets broken and it all goes back at 1.

In the end, if someone gets your code and runs it on their computer, then they have the right to know what is running there (even though this right might not be respected by the current laws). If you are worried about plagiarism, there are other ways to protect your work (for example moving important parts of the code, or even all of it to your server, or just being ready to protect your rights in court)

You can make it harder but not impossible. You can use .Net reflector software. However, you still need a loader, which will take your encrypted code, load it into memory and decrypt it. At that point, the loader needs the decryption key to do its work. A reasonably hacker can debug this process and extract your code in unencrypted form. But, Anyway, I recommend using it. It is more useful to be. You may be interested to know that files written in Java are opened with winRar software. And the code can be accessed directly!!!
