I've learnt JavaScript basics and DOM manipulation and still can't build a project with it. somebody should pls walk me through

Then you should realize that you didn't learn enough to be able to build a project. You could find sample project on Google and try them yourself. Later, try to build your own project. And don't forget to figure out your lackings as you completed but can't build projects!
