What do you want to do? Html isn't a programming language, but it's very easy. If you learn html you can also learn Javascript, which is then easier when you want to learn Java... I started with python, because you can do much with it and it is easy to learn

Just continue your python course first and so you will know whether to master Python or learn a new programming language.
