Pls I have place footer in my html above the body tag bt it still doesn't appear as a footer it still remains at the same place

the footer belongs IN the body, not above. also it belongs to the end. and you'll have to style it according to your needs, e.g. if you want it to always be at the bottom of the page.

but I thought it doesn't matter where u place it so far as its a footer I thought it has to be in the end
