Maybe because of Java's object orientation and bloated syntax (compared to languages like python) it makes it a bit challenging for beginners to focus on the problem without getting distracted by the syntax?

Currently Java is also has alot of conditional statements that make it hard to use

I really don't think Java is hard. It is very easy actually, but we need to study its API as Martin Taylor pointed out, and we also should have some knowledges about programmibg, that's all.
