CSS implementation problem! HELP ME!

Question

I have completed two CSS courses including Sololearn's one. When I went through the courses, I did understand all the stuffs as they were divided into sections and each lesson did teach one particular css property at a time. But when I started working in a project where I need to implement many css stuffs together, I frequently get stuck. Some css stuffs don't work properly! I am disappointed and can't advance. Please suggest me how I can improve and what's the problem?

Star with small projects and increase property one by one
Like height,width, color,background color,font size, padding,margin,text-transform, border, ......
