if you want to study full web developing then it takes 5-10 months, but if you only need to know the basis it will work 1month less .

Forever. ^_^ You keep learning. Browse for PDFs, tutorials and forums to help in your cause. First start with the basics. Since you have only a short period of time, outline the major aspects you need to know. Then go ahead to cover them. Do be careful, though. Ensure you are done with the prerequisites before advancing; it is not a good idea to skip them. If you do, you might run into a wall later.

Alright then. If you have time to spare, try to mock up a website. No JavaScript. See if you need to learn anything extra in HTML and/or CSS. Then go ahead to learn JS. There is this PDF titled Foundation JavaScript by Haverbeke (or not?). It's quite handy. But you get to learn the fundamentals of JS. Try downloading it. Then, adapt everything you've added to your skill set to the job you are to carry out. Remember, you should be testing your skills as you go. This way, you won't forget what you've acquired and you will discover what else you should learn.

Practice makes a man perfect. You will need the passion for code practices with a consistency, commitment, and patience.
