Can someone please give me a detailed routine for becoming a hardcore coder ?

i have been coding since a year , but i can't really reach the heights i wanted . please tell me how should i start off again like . what should be my prime focus when i code in order to get placed in a dream software company . i love coding but i don't have a person to guide me through this .
