Hardik, As I see it, it is mentioned along with data structure, I think the book author referred to the same thing (user defined type) although it was written as customized data type. But I'm not a CS student, and this was my personal perception. If possible, you might consider confirming this doubt with the lecturer in charge. Hardik, I'm not sure, can you share a link where you read about customized data type. I gotta feeling I need to read it first to understand whether it was similar terms used for user defined type.
