I hear Silcon Valley is, but I haven't watched it. For reading though, I find the niche Rationalist Fiction genre great, since it converts stories/shows like Harry Potter or My Little Pony into Rationialist propaganda that promotes being optimal and abusing rulesets to their maximum advantage, which is a good mindset for coding. Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality was the classic that created the genre, with the premise that Harry is a scientist going into Hogwarts. Friendship is Optimal is a My Little Pony fic that shows how an A.I. can interpret rules and convince humans to like things they don't want to like (ponies), while also taking over earth. Mother of Learning is a non fanfic example where a magic student takes advantage of a time loop to bruteforce hard work and training to better himself and become better than everyone around him. Sorry I just really like the genre... anyway I hope you find a good show. Btw Social Network is a good programming movie.

like another one said. Apart from dr.who everybody has his/her own taste. Apart from dr.who, just because you are a programmer doesn't mean you have the same taste. Apart from dr.who of course Did I mention dr.who?
