android app - kotlin - error while creating a function to call settings screen from options menu

Question

Dear Sololearners

I am creating an app with a simple optionsmenu which should open a settings screen with an onclick function.
Sadly, the code doesn't work or I missed something.

I already created an
optionsmenu
a navigation.xml file with a actions function inside it
a root_preference settings screen

But sadly I forgot something or something will somehow not work.
I think, that it just would be something very small, which I forgot and I would be sooo happy, if you can help me.
