How to find IP address of another laptop which issues certain command
At my office we use Zebra label printer , it is connected in a network. . While printing itself it goes offline. Sometimes it might be a printer problem , sometimes it might be a command from any other system in the same network . Can anybody help me , how to find it's really a printer problem or by some intruder?

Office Office I have two initial questions for you that would help narrow it down:
1. How is the Zebra printer connected, via serial port, parallel port, USB, or ethernet?
2. Do you have an HP brand printer connected anywhere on the network, or even on a local private connection to a PC?

Hi Thank you for your immediate response.
1. USB .
2. HP printer we have. But it is connected through a different network.
3. ApeosPort printer and Zebra same network. HP smart printer different network.

Okay.
1. Will check with it. Will change to universal print drivers for HP.
2. How to check with the communication protocol. We don't use the standard one. We use something like USB002 .

This has been a challenge for quite a while now. Most of my time is really wasted with this. This universal drive can it be downloaded online ?

I believe the HP bug would affect other print drivers on the same computer even though the printers may be on different networks. So first try the driver change, as it is most likely the root of the problem.
The HP Universal driver can be downloaded from the HP website. It is most important to replace it on computers that access more than one printer.

If the printer and your laptop are connected to the same router, you can easily log in to the modem settings via the router getway ip and there you will find all the connected devices and their hostnames+ Mac addresses.
Also if are you using Linux there are many built-in tools for scanning like nmap or net scan.
Or you can easily download a scanning app from google play like fing, net scan or pingtools.
The most important thing that your laptop and the printer are connected to the same local network.

Yes. When the HP bug occurs, it causes the Windows Print Spooler service to panic and shut down. Go into Control Panel > Services. Restart the Print Spooler service.

Office Office here is why I asked the questions. 1. If the Zebra is connected by a cable, then you'll need to be certain that the cable is correctly wired, the length is within specification, and that the communication protocol is configured correctly.
2. HP drivers have had a longstanding bug that causes other printers to go offline. The solution is to replace all HP drivers with the HP Universal print drivers. Do not use the printer-specific driver that came with the HP printer.

Hi All. Is there a way to enable printer when it goes offline other than restarting?

Have you tried resetting? Has to be done after backup of useful information and proper knowledge.
