Well, what do you want it to do!? Usually buttons do something when "onclick" attribute is defined for them. You should learn JavaScript it is totally covered there.
Remember, HTML isn't everything; but it is a base structure. You design it with CSS, and make it intelligent and interactive with JavaScript!
