Which IDE is the best when creating a Java desktop application or web application

there is no "the best"....

some people use:
- IntelliJ IDEA from JetBrains
- Eclipse
- NetBeans
- VSCode (which is not an IDE)
- and the upcoming one is also from JetBrains: Fleet (install via toolbox only)

why IntelliJ IDEA is the most preferred one? powerful, but really heavy weight; the community version is free, but limited.
for the beginners is a bit confusing because of the "knowledge", but it's worth to be friends....

I'm using VSCodium for almost everything, but have PyCharm CE, IDEA CE, Wing, Thonny, Spyder, Fleet, Netbeans, Android Studio, RustRover (all the free tools on my Linux; on windows I have these + Anaconda, Visual Studio Community (2019/2022) because of the university)
