Career Path Guidance
If I were to choose right now, I’m leaning towards Data Science because it offers a broad range of applications and opportunities to work across various domains. However, I’m also deeply interested in AI and its innovative potential. Hence, I'm thinking of starting with Data Science, gaining solid industry experience, and then transitioning to AI. I believe this path could provide a strong foundation and make me versatile in the tech industry. I would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and any advice you can offer! Thanks in advance!

AI is going to play a huge role in data analytics. Being able to extract relationships between different datasets, etc. You may be able to discover things using AI that you never thought of yourself.
For AI, the obvious role is to analyze given datasets and find patterns. But the next level of AI would be to be able to train AI so it has a deeper understanding of your companies unique goals and data.
You should probably study the data analytics stuff first, but don't postpone AI too long as it will likely be a critical factor in getting job offers. Companies are collecting massive amounts of data these days and they will need help finding profitable insights into cost savings or sales trends.
The advertising data available from companies like Google and Facebook provide mind-boggling insights. Companies want to tap those insights and AI will be a valuable tool for integrating those types of insights into internal datasets.
Keep in mind that companies usually look for cross-discipline employees. Knowing data science and AI are valuable. But also knowing the industry you want to work in is the icing on the cake. If you have skills in transportation, leisure, medical, legal, manufacturing, or supply chain, for example, you can use the hybrid skills as a selling point. As you study, consider what industry appeals to you. Maybe study up on that as well.
