Wekesa Makinda You should ask that as a fresh question instead of posting in someone else's unrelated question. As your question is related to Android app development, Java was Google's preferred app development language when Android was first released in 2008. Google announced Android support for Kotlin in 2017, and made it the preferred app development language in 2019. So there are a lot more apps developed in Java simply because of time.

I'm looking for Kotlin. I've been told that it is more efficient than Java, however, Java is used more widely and seems to be utilised everywhere in comparison to Kotlin. I ask why would something be more efficient yet seemingly under utilised. I maybe speaking out of utter ignorance. Hence, the question. Is Kotlin available on Sololearn?

I do appreciate the fact that you answered my absolutely embarrassing question, whilst still embarrassing myself further by asking a non relevant question to yourself. I'm sorry. I have been distracted messaging many people and I made a slight error. You came through though. Many thanks. Very thankful.
