Does it require you to have a master's degree in computer science in order to be in cybersecurity field?

I have read this blog and it said, you should have master's degree in computer science related degree, so I was wondering if I only have bachelor's degree or honors in computer science won't I be able to be in cybersecurity field? Is it really a necessary thing to master's or it just gives you an advantage ?

It most likely depends on the competition. If you don't have any formal education but can clearly show your expertise in the field and there aren't any other applicants, you'll have a good chance (assuming the hiring person is in fact a person and uses their brain). If it is a highly competitive field, lots of applicants, then the requirements increase. That still doesn't mean you don't have a chance, but you need to prove yourself in a more fitting way.

Wandile Ntuli If you don't have a degree, it becomes even more important that you create a portfolio of personal projects which demonstrate your proficiency in your chosen field.
