How to prepare for a Programming Olympiad?

I entered a programming Olympiad, I am representing my school....I don't know how and what to prepare, I don't know what to expect ...can you help?

did the olympiad guys give any specific topic? if yes then prepare on tht or else take ur own topic and work on it , for example if u knw java try to create an basic app which is useful ...

they didn't give me a topic, I should know C++ j and I don't know what kind of codes they are going to make us create
