Why do you want to learn multiple languages? What is your end goal?

I'm currently also trying to learn different languages and it troubles me. I guess it would be better to learn one than move on to a similar one and so on. Like Starting with C++ then moving to C# and then to Java etc... I am learning C++, C#, Java, HTML, Python this is my approach. After an absence of approximately 25 years I'm trying to getting in again. However my skills where previously Cobol, dBASE, Pascal (close to Java) Basic and some other dialects with a starting introduction to C programming.
This approach is way too much and it is better to focus your effort on one, this way you will accomplish much more in the same time. But, this is my opinion and it will be different for everyone ...

I agree with Ulisses. Start small. Start with one. Master it, then move on to the next.

Every one has a way he can learn better. But I believe that everyone needs practicing want he is learning along the way, so that he/she may better comprehend what he is learning. Having and interesting project as a goal may direct your study. But, in the beginning don't set goal too high. Start small.
