Who is going to learn the newest programming language Kotlin by Google?

So why I have heard about Kotlin at least in 2016 (if it came out yesterday)? Was it only some talks about language that was not available at that moment? (Somehow Kotlin, Scala and Groovy [could be wrong here, 'cause "have met" Groovy in Gradle only if I'm not mistaken] have a connection between them in my mind... is it because of platform their results are run on? Isn't JetBrains has an IDE ready for Kotlin?)

Don't worth learning right now! I think it would take some time till become mature enough to write apps only with Kotlin.

kotlin is not a new language it was under development from few years but yeah google recently add it as a way of writing android apps.
