How is this possible?

I checked the leaderbards and found 3 gold people with more XP than Serena Yvonne(?), a plqtinum person. On closer inspection, she actually got 18k+ XP only!

To explain this can you explain the XP system of Sololearn and about the awards given?

Also it's possible that Serena lost Xp after reaching platinum. The status is not regressed if that is the case.

Did you check if it was monthly/weekly rankings? Because it's possible that they got more xp in a week or month.

So if I lose so much XP that I drop to 0 I would still retain gold status?

Serena actually reset the Java course which also took the points she won with playing Java challenges i.e. nearly 3k xp .
