You have to think in parts!

Inside the () you have the (5//2). This will return you 2, because it returns only the number before the dot (.)

So you have the second operation
7%(2) This will return to you the division reminder operation.
So if you use 7//2 you will have 3 as answer, because it only returns the quotient. If you continue this operation in a paper or in your mind,

3(The quotient) x 2 (the divisor) = 6
7 (dividend) - 6 = 1 (reminder)

So 7%2 returns you 1 (the reminder).
