Please how will make a drop down items pops up when my mouse is on a certain word?

for instance, on some websites, when your cursor is on 'downloads' then other items pops up indicating the format you want to download

i would assume some onmouseover listener to open a div on top showing the content

surely there are plenty of wats to do this tho
