PHP is a server side scripting language that is used for business logic, which is parsed by PHP interpreter and returned as plain text to the server, which sends the output back to the client. Now the question is how to render that output in more appealing way, here comes HTML which handles the presentation part of Web application. So, it would be handy to learn HTML along with PHP.
