How much the total number of computer's languages and who invented them?

Far too many to count. There's only a dozen or so popular ones, but people create their own probably on a daily basis. Many are built on top of each other and different versions of the same language are effectively new languages at that point. Do you count operating systems and compilers? What about boot loaders? Any of the popular modern languages will have a wiki page telling you who wrote it and when. The languages taught in this app/site are some of the most popular. Cheers!
