I never officially 'touched' C. I'm (supposingly) doing just fine with C++. :>

C++ was the first language that I learned back in the 90s. I learned C afterward. Neither are dependent upon one another, so it doesn't matter if you learn one first over the other, nor does it matter if you decide to only learn one and not the other. So to answer your question, it's not anymore difficult to learn one first over the other. You can learn C++ without knowing C. Once you learn and master your first programming language, learning other languages becomes significantly easier to do. Logic is logic, and once you have that, you're simply learning different syntax.

Learning your first language takes time to fully understand. Don't get discourage and just keep pushing through it. I would recommend that you read all the way through the first time, even if you don't understand everything. Practice afterward by creating something. Read through it again so you learn anything you may have missed, and then write down the things that you still don't understand. When you're done, take that list of things you don't understand, and google them so you can find further resources to learn more about it. Post questions here about it. Post questions on stackoverflow about it. Practice and create some more stuff that will take use of the things you don't understand yet. Keep practicing, researching, and using any resources you can. There is a LOT of open source projects out there, download their code, read it, modify it, contribute to it, etc.. If you do all of this, you'll be well on your way to becoming a great programmer.

@Pianta It's no problem at all bro. The programmer path isn't always the smoothest path, but it's worth it if it's something you enjoy doing. Don't give up on it.
