Can programming be used to be a white hat hacker (white hat=good) (black hat =bad) if so how?

white hat hackers break into systems to check for vulnerablies. not steal info

yes, infact you NEED to know programming as a basic. but also... you need to know a lot of lower level programming languages like Basic, C, C++ you'll need to have really strong skills in reading a ton of code really fast and know exactly what to do with it. White-hat and Black-hat hacking seems like it has to do over a network (Even a virus spreading would be over a network) That means you'll need to know A LOT about networking and how it works. Security in this world is not a joke. If you think you can just become a good hacker, guess what... everyday they "Level up" their security system in detecting a hack, fighting against abnormal behaviour, hacking back etc. Enjoy ;)

Here is a thread on hacking - It is more focused on the code and less about goid or bad. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/563537/?ref=app
