@Prabhu Nithin
Challenges at sololearn (and at others places too) seems to test "how fast can you type" rather than testing the real understanding of the programming language.
If you answer a question in 15 sec but the other person can't then they loose not necessarily due to gap in their understanding of the programming language but due to enforced timeout. (although there actually may be a gap) That person may be answering the question right in 20 sec. Should these people work on improving their reaction time or spend time in clearing their concept. I definitely prefer the latter. As concepts gets clear, your speed (comparing to self) of answering also improves.
On the contrary the person who won may get a false sense of victory especially if the other person is at a level higher than them.
In conclusion - At sololearn or at any site don't have a competition with others but self.
Kindly see this is my opinion. It is perfectly right for you to disagree with my views.

I've never played any of the challenges at all.

Sorry. I didn't see you respond.
I don't have time to do the challenges or focus on this. I prefer to practice via projects / creating applications / etc... It's more tangible to me, and allows me to hone in on the skills I require for my long term goals.

Because I'm challenging myself to never play any of the challenges.
