Will WordPress and the like replace the "from scratch" website building completely?

From the looks of it, wysiwyg platforms are becoming extremely powerful, flexible and fast. Do you think building websites from scratch will become obsolete in the future? Especially having in mind the advancements in AI.

I think it could be one of future scenarios. But this doesn't underestimate ability to build website "from scratch". This ability gives better understanding and possibility to find more creative solutions. At least that's why I decided to learn how to build website from the beginning.

Nope. Even if it was, you'll always have the idiots who are like "I write all my code in binary, you noobs!" We all know that guy. If you don't, you're that guy. :) Anyways, with all of the various client/server side stuff that's constantly being created for the web, it's unlikely that it'll become obsolete, especially by one of those sites. You can do so much more yourself than being limited by such frameworks. However, those sites are good for the use that most people use them for.
