How do you even start a proyect in your language of preference?

Hi guys, i wanted to learn python because is the language of use for editing in visual effects. I began 4 days ago and i felt a little frustrated because i honestly don't know what im doing, i feel like im swinging and hittin the questions by luck. I just want to be good at this to make great sweet VFX what book or path do you reccomend for a begginer like me? thank you very much and have a nice week.

I would suggest "learn python the hard way" (search it on google). It gives a deep understanding of the language and also some really good exercises to actually learn programming.

You're welcome my friend. I started about a year and half ago with java, mostly just to see what is coding all about and find myself in love with coding right after that. I continued to learn basics of other languages (including c#,c++ and php) only because it was really enjoying. Actually I haven't focused on any of them till now. It depends on the jobs I found, currently mostly web designing and php. Hope you have a great journey in coding. PS: make sure you choose the right lessons for your first language, however it doesn't matter which lauguage you choose, the lessons are very important.
