Java vs Kotlin : Should we all prefer to use Kotlin instead of Java for Android development ?

I've been hearing of Kotlin alot nowadays . Is it really a complete alternative for Java ? What are its pros and cons ?

Kotlin was made to be a more convenient Java (really). Kotlin was officially supported by Google. Java code can run Kotlin code and vice versa. So with that said, I think you should use Kotlin where possible, if it's convenient for you. I'm almost certain Kotlin will replace Java eventually.

@Nevil learn Java first, then learning Kotlin will be easier, then you can make the switch.

But what makes think twice about Kotlin is that there aren't much sources and platforms to learn Kotlin but in case of Java there are tons of sources available.
