What would a 2nd party application be? (The 2nd equivalent to a 3rd party application)

Question

As a coding student, I have mastered Google pretty well, and this is surely Google-able, but what do you guys think? Side-note: This is my very first post here :)

Let's say the company is Nintendo

First Party: Nintendo created it directly.

Second Party: A different company created it EXCLUSIVELY for Nintendo (Think Game Freak and Pokemon, or HAL Labs and Smash. Nintendo did not directly create them but they are essentially properties of Nintendo and only on their systems).

Third Party: Unrelated company created it (Any major multiplatform title that is not Nintendo Only).
