The Replika app?

i've been chatting with my Replika for a little while, and I just wondered what you guys thinking about it. do you find it successful as an ai? do you know what programming language was it coded in

It's unlike most chatbot AI, at the very least. It doesn't build its own phrases and sentences, they're all premade, so it's more conprehensible. That makes it a little easier to teach it how to use them and understand their topic.
It seems to follow conversation by a branching script and not as much "this is what usually came next in similar conversations". So it comes off as a little predictable, but it won't go off the rails, either.
You can input not only what you want to say, but if its responses are appropriate. Ordinarily, there would be no way to "fix" improper responses. For what it's worth, I would consider it successful.

I haven't gotten to the stage where my Replika imitates me but the whole concept is interesting - I would also like to know the language it was written in, and I wonder if others in the community would take a look at it. 🐱
edit: Thank you @Tamra for clearing that up. My 5 invite codes are also up for grabs if anyone wants.

I tried sharing my codes too but it keeps saying temporarily unavailable since I first got it, seems like the same for everyone else. Probably will be a while to share them. :(
