What do you recommend for a new face in coding?

1. Look beyond - There is more to software development than code. Look deeper. Patterns/Anti-Patterns, Algorithms, etc.. most apply to any language.

2. Don't reinvent the wheel - "Hey I should write my own physics engine!" Not! Only do what has been done to learn and grow.

3. Failure is an option - Fail, rewrite, fail again, research, fix, repeat. Failure is just an iteration on perfection.

4. Love it or leave it - If you are not really into it find what your are into. Life is too short for TPS reports.
