Is html required to learn CSS ?

Question

I want to know that, is html very important or essential to understand CSS or to blindly start learning CSS. Would I be able to understand CSS without the help of html or should I start learning html first and then css. Please answer my query???

You need to know HTML before CSS.

Also you can learn both simultaneously.

Once you did, you'll understand what i mean.

Why would you even learn CSS? Purpose of CSS is to style HTML and that is it's only purpose . Without having skeleton can you apply makeup for anyone? that's the same here. You must know HTML to learn CSS.
