What are the advantages manual code over ready made app builders such as appy pie, mobie rise. Why are we doing hard coding?

today many app companies are using wordpress, laravel, appy pie, appacelerator, and titanium as far as i know. sometimes i am feeling it is just a waste of time for this coding and coding when i saw some of my IT friends who are making a lot of money without having much talents and knowledge. even they spent very little time in this technology and yet they are doing great.

I want to give answer in one word according to my experience → "Customization"

Often times the auto generated code produces a lot of redundant mehods and classes that end up decreasing the speed of operation.

Thses codes force you into writing code that is compatible with the generated code, though not that big of a deal, it reduces opportunity to customize as @Ekansh mentioned.

It Increases the complexity of the code generated where it is slightly more difficult to understand and can be less efficient than if you could write it yourself, this obviously varies from situation.

It can hinder the creative flow process of the programmer, at times when they had an idea of how to implement something but when they generated some code it had done so in a different standardized way, though this may be good, it stops the prgrammer there and forces them to think away from their usual thought process and may reduce creativity.

Though the benefits of using auto generated code out weighs it's drawbacks most of the time, these are just some of my observations.

3) Gaining mental strength through dealing with issues involved with coding.
4) Flexible code (no obligation to follow *whatever* guidelines).
5) Freedom from being forced to do things "as they say" it should.

Why do people use LaTeX over Microsoft Word and PowerPoint? Why R instead of Microsoft Excel? Why Vim instead of an IDE to write code? Because it is more powerful and gives us more control. When we delegate tasks, we don't know the final result.

my colleague I equally thought of it the same way you have thought it but those people are not programmer at all. A little line of code make them cry at times because the foundation of coding is not treated
it is better you know how to do it than copying code from sites or using getting rich quick approaches.
please learn how to code read many books on coding keep on learning coding day in day out very soon those people will come for your aids and collect cool money from them before you even attend to their problems. I have many of them around me.
please do the needful. learn how to code and code well.

For me coding is very special. 10 years ago I didn't thought that one day I'll be so passionate about programming.

We live in a truly astonishing time right now. Technological innovations are the driven engines of our modern and advanced societies.

Maybe we take this for granted. But we shouldn't.

The impact that (only) one coder can have on these events is really mind-blowing. The power is not longer in the hands of the most economic and political powerful people who only represent 1% of the total. No the power is now diffusing and spreading in all kinds of directions.

The one's who understand this can really appreciate and see the true challenges that we still have to face. It is in their hands to choose whether to do good or bad...

still, there's a PROGRAMMER behind those app, we write code (wether simple or complex) to make things easy to be done. coding isn't just about making app/web, I believe it imrpove one's way of thinking especially in decision making.

those IT friends of yours? I'm not sure but, maybe they are lacking of passion in coding? lolz! ..

writing your codes makes you mentally superior. it gives you the step by step of your work and will help you identify incidence faster when there occur.

money is not everything. Knowledge costs more than money . If you don't have the information about the flow and methods of the program then one can exploit your software with ease but if u code it yourself you will definitely see to the security of the programs

Simple and ready made isn't always good. Yes, we can use the bus, but driving your own car is freedom of choice, from when you leave to where you go or change of destination halfway there.

One last thing to consider.... All those ready made things you mentioned....

Who coded them?

And believe it or not, there were no ready made apps that built WordPress.
