CHALLENGE: COMPLEX FUNCTIONS
Try coding a program which can plot a complex maths function such as f(z)=7*z/i - Any function has to work - No complex numbers librairy allowed, all the calculus with complex numbers part has to be done by your own code - The output can be whatever you want to plot a complex function: a 3D graph, a 2D plane, ... anything, with the way YOU want to show the beauty of complex numbers calculations The challenge will be over when I'll have enough submissions, then I'll share mine. Good luck to everyone!!

Thanks, but I suppose people who're going to do this challenge already know all of this ^^"

indeed!

I wish some could try the challenge.
I've done it 2 years ago but I won't explain how my plot look since there are many creative possible outputs, and this challenge's purpose is to fill the lack of complex graphers existing... for the beauty of maths!
Please, contribute for maths!!

Nice!!! Great job, may this help others :D

Unfortunately, right now I don't have time to take on this challenge. 😞
To all those that will attempt it good luck!
And something to (hopefully) help you:
A brief history of the discovery of complex numbers:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T647CGsuOVU
(It's a mini series , I highly recommend watching all the episodes.(13 episodes total (history up to ep6) after that episode the next ones will really help you visualize complex numbers.))

Haha, I'm being afraid that nobody here will be able to code that... since this app is for beginners :/
Just wanted to tell that any unfinished code is welcome as long as it can provide ideas for others ^^

Good luck!!!

Very nice start!!

Hum wait, do you know the meaning of "complex" in maths? Would you prefer the words "imaginary number"? "Complex" here doesn't stand for "hard" but just a type of numbers!

I hope they do. ☺
The history behind the discovery of complex numbers isn't that well known and it's really interesting.

Me too @Elad Goldenberg

@Elad Goldenberg:
No need to comment to follow a thread: just click on the gray star at bottom-left of question to highlight it to blue ;P (it's done automatically when you post an answer, so you doesn't need now ^^) And click it another time to make it gray again and unfollow any topic, obviously...

I do not specifically have this code but I have a code that finds complex roots of a given quadratic equations.

@Nyiko
If you are talking about the yt series it expands the parabola to the plane of imaginary numbers.
So you can think of it as an extended version of parabola covering both real and imaginary numbers.
In effect it's now a parabola covering complex numbers.

i will try to code
