How to improve as a coder?

Question

knowing all basic syntax of common programming languages, using them in solving normal programming problems but how what should we really do to improve as a programmer?

it's good you know the basic syntax but that's just the grammar of it. you need to read & write code to actually improve.
how many hours do you practice & learn daily if you are not practising, learning, reading, writing code you are not getting better.
