There are many reason behind its popularity. It is loosely type language, easy to use, easy to learn, open source, CMS available (WordPress, Magento, Joomla) and frameworks (Zend, Laravel, Symfony) so next upcoming few years PHP will be in demand... so PHP's future is bright you don't have to worry about it.
