Sure, if you want for example to run a probabilistic model on a mechanical part fault time, it has a Weibull distribution, perfectly understood and supported by Python scikit-learn module :)

learning new thing is always beneficial for us doesn't required what you're doing engineering, medical or any , programming is give you to see the world in more logical way .
