Have you tried to do string manipulations in C? This is more complex than it should be. Also, C++ has OOP.

c had top to bottom approach that is it is structural programming language so there was more need of solving complex problems it was difficult to solve complex problems in c therefore c++ was introduced which is object oriented programming
