Actually, the answer lies within you, you alone know which learning method is best for you, if you can understand how things done easier by watching videos then you go for videos, likewise, if you find that reading books, or learning by practice as it is here in SL helps in learning then you go that way.

Sometimes people's suggestion may or may not be the best for you, you make the decision, cause you know what's best or most convenient learning method for you.
