No they are very different, C++ is much harder for most people and they are both used for different things.

C++ and swift are both object oriented, but there are different. Swift is easy to learn than c++

in use, power, difficulty, etc. totally different. Syntax wise, they're about as different as general use languages get, especially in the way you implement classes/objects
