What is the different between var and varchar?

Java hasn't var or varchar.

It has char which is primitive type of single symbol

eg. 'a' 'B' or '#'

they are just names like demo n all. Java has char data type only not var .var is a short form of variable. varchar is a short form of variablecharacter which doesn't make sense any at all. they are just simple names given by the programmer
