How to link css to html through an online notepad on a chromebook?

I am pretty new to this, so I might be making some mistake that I could've overlooked, but my css file will not link to the html file. I've been looking around on the internet for a few days, and checked every detail down to the last letter to make sure it was exact, but the external css doesn't seem to want too work with the html file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gdh2f73pyq5tezw/Screenshot%202017-10-11%20at%2011.19.42.png?dl=0 ^ is the link within the html file https://www.dropbox.com/s/q756tv8v2rp1hga/Screenshot%202017-10-11%20at%2011.24.31.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/s1ji9pzodvju7ey/Screenshot%202017-10-11%20at%2011.25.18.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/2xg1jzbuzhf1btj/Screenshot%202017-10-11%20at%2011.25.28.png?dl=0 The above three links are pictures of the css file. I am using an online notepad, so maybe that is the problem in itself, I don't know. I've tried putting them in the same file as well, that didn't work.

Make sure your css and html files are in the same folder. Double check the file name is the correct css file And I noticed your html code does not have closing body tag.

Yeah, I noticed that as I was looking it over in code playground, I forgot to add the / in </body>, so it was just to opening tags instead of an opening and closing tag. I tried putting them in the same file, and triple checked to make sure the css file was correctly typed. It is, but it hasn't worked. Only internal css and inline css works, but not external.
