Most of them are powerful in their own right. You're asking the wrong question though. Better question is what's best for whatever your task is? If you were drowning, would you want to be given a sword or a life preserver? Sure, the sword is more powerful, but life preserver is better suited to that particular task. They're both nothing more than tools, the power comes from you and your ability to utilize things for various situations.
