These days, a lot of web developers use platforms like WordPress (which itself uses PHP and MySQL). But of course, you could also just do it yourself. In that case I would advise you to take the two courses simultaneously or one after the other in any order you like (I don't think one order is more logical as the two are used for very different purposes). But I would advise you to start with a simple tutorial on generating websites (HTML) using MySQL and PHP, and set up a simple server on your computer, so you already have a playground to put in practice what you learned in the courses.

PHP and MySQL? That depends a bit on what you want to achieve I think. You don't need any knowledge about the one to learn the other, but it might be nice to have a small project where you can apply what you learn in practice. Do you have something of a small goal in mind?

If just from Sololearn; Html, SQL, CSS, Javascript, PhP. SQL on this app is just a few search commands, finish in a couple hours. As for outside the app, then just grab what you can reach for what looks for thorough and free learning. Follow up with W3Schools.com, add some free EdX Html three part course from W3C themselves, a CSS intro being added tomorrow, Nov 7th, with an advanced coming soon. I also grabbed a couple popular Udemy tutorials since I was there for game design anyways, though those I paid $24 each. So my plate is pretty full right now. My tablet is filled with videos, and my laptop just added a list of programs. That's one thing this app doesn't introduce you too.

I want to learn skills for web development. I'm assuming there is a recommended path or logical progression of courses to take. Thanks for responding to my post.
