Data Science
Hello, i am interested in occuping with Data Science. I have just started learning SQL and i would like an opinion about other programming languages that would help me join the Analytics world more easily!!

Before deciding on the programming language you'd like to develop in, I'd recommend you to brush up your skills in mathematics, linear algebra, statistics, probability theory and perhaps modelling :)
Choosing a language should be secondary to this. Just to stay on topic -- Python, of course ;)

Python is a hot topic in analytics and data oriented topics... Plus its beginner friendly!..

Then I stick to my answer and initial choice - go for Python ;)
Although I see more statisticians going for Matlab or R, Python has a much broader scope than the former two. After all, it is a general-purpose language which allows you to create your own applications, web scraping and data mining and more.
Speaking about Julia - too me it seems it is still too early to judge how will that go, but seeing a Julia script running live recently I must admit it is quicker than Python. Not that speed is too much of a problem nowadays, as it is fairly easy to multiplicate or parallelize, but still - it might be a good choice now to at least get a glimpse of it.
If you want to compare between Python and R, I recommend trying out the beginner paths of each at www.datacamp.com - just enough to let you decide.

If so, then it really depends on what exactly would you like to focus on. I recommend you this thread on stack exchange:
https://datascience.stackexchange.com/questions/326/JUMP_LINK__&&__python__&&__JUMP_LINK-vs-r-for-machine-learning
There is a quick summary of pros and cons of each of them, depending on your exact preference or field of interest.

Yes you are right!! But i already have a bachelor in Statistics an a master in Informatics. I just wanted to have a picture about programming languages before i start drilling down to one specific.

I learn R and is a very interesting cosnole, especially for statisticians. So you recommend python, in order to combine it with R?

Also, Scala and Kafka.
