Not all. There are many pretty (particularly rich) programmers in the world...

@James Ha! You win. :D
@Viraj That sounds more like a personal issue than a profession issue. lol Maybe take a shower and comb your hair, put on some "smell good." Maybe work on communication skills, that'll take your further than most things in life.
You're not the first person to ask that though, so I'm curious, is that what it's like in your country? Where I live (USA), being a programmer equals having a good job and money, which the last time I checked, women love a man with job and money. lol

For example, famous Mark Zuckerberg

@Viraj: Um... yeah... it's gotta be your high IQ that's killing your chances for companionship and true love.
I mean, who wouldn't want to date someone so intelligent, they only view the world as nothing more than stereotypes and approach problem solving with generalities, rather than silly concepts like deductive reasoning and logic?
Speaking on behalf of the other simple minds here, thank you for asking the hard questions and then gracing us with such powerful, eye opening wisdom.

@Mumtaz Looks like a nerd? lol That's an odd stereotype for programmers. If you saw me offline, the last thing that you would believe I'm good at is computers and programming. First glance, I look like I'm some angry metal head; long hair, long goatee, scruffy otherwise, smile only when necessary. I was born and raised in the South, so I sound like I'm some redneck, even though I'm not. I've always lived in or near the big city, so I'm rough around the edges due to life experiences. Unless you knew where I worked or knew what I'm aspiring to do, you'd probably doubt what I'm really about because of my outward appearance.
As well, most of the programming that I do is based around me wanting to be lazy, which is why I currently specialize in automating tasks. lol I prefer to be called constructively lazy though, because I put a lot of hard work into being lazy and it ends up with a lot of really cool creations on my part.
Anyways, regardless of all that, being a nerd or looking like a nerd isn't what it use to be. It's 2017 and all things revolve around that "nerdness" now. It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like, those aren't the reasons why one isn't able to get a girlfriend. Most of it has to do with your psychology (namely, your confidence and what you believe for/about yourself) and your communication skills. Master those things and you'll be someone that people enjoy being around, including women. If you don't have confidence or the ability to communicate, you simply won't even take the chance of asking someone out anyways. You'll just talk down upon yourself, recite the things that you hate about yourself and assume others must hate too, and then come up with some script about why you couldn't have the girl - "Nice guys finish last!" "Women just like jerks!" etc... All defense mechanisms to protect yourself because you had a choice to make and you chose not to take action upon what you wanted.

@James... ROTFLMOA! I had the same reaction as @Netkos.
Although, it does make me wonder... if I discovered my passion for programming before I met my wife, would things have worked out differently? Hmmmm... 🤔

@James Haha :D I've been married for 11 years, so when I read your reply I died. lol
